CMI Mission in Namibia

Fr. Thomas Manninezhath CMI

Fr. Thomas is the first member of the CMI Congregation, who arrived in Namibia on 21 April 1998 to help the newly started Seminary. Until October 1998 he helped the Seminary as the Bursar and taught both philosophy and theology. From October 1998 until December 2008 he served as the Rector. Thereafter he was the Secretary General of the Namibian Catholic Bishops' Conference (NCBC) and continued to teach both philosophy and theology. He finished his long years of service in Namibia in March 2016 and returned to Province on March 15, 2016 E-Mail: thomasmann58@gmail.com

Fr. Benny Karuvelil CMI

Fr. Benny arrived in Namibia on 10 February 2001. Apart from his role as Dean of  Students he taught philosophy. He left Namibia on 25 July 2002 for higher studies, but returned after his Ph.D. in Leuven, Belgium, on 25 May, 2008 and continued the same duties as before. On January 1, 2009 he was appointed by the Congregation for Evangelisation of Peoples as the successor to Fr.Thomas, and is at present the Rector of the Seminary and continues teaching Philosophy,

Fr. Jacob Alackal CMI

Fr. Jacob arrived in Namibia on 10 February 2001. His services in the seminary included the duty of the Bursar and teaching philosophy. He left Namibia on 14 January 2002 for higher studies

Fr. Cyriac Kannezhath CMI

Fr. Cyriac joined the other CMI members on 2 December 2001. Since then he rendered his services to the seminary as Bursar, Spiritual Director, Director of Orientation students and teaching psychology and other subjects. He completed his long years of service in Namibia and returned to Province on November 29, 2016.

Fr. Thomas Manikkam CMI

On 25 May 2003 Fr. Thomas arrived in Namibia. He helped the seminary as Dean of Students and taught both philosophy and theology.

He left Namibia on 24 November 2004 and was called to eternal rest in 2010.

Fr. Immanuel Ayamkudy CMI

Fr. Immanuel reached the Seminary on 30 March 2005. Since then, until his leaving on the 24th of November 2007 for higher studies, he helped the seminary as Dean of Students, Librarian and was teaching both philosophy and theology. E-Mail: eayamkudy@hotmail.com

Fr. Abraham Vadakkemuriyil CMI

 

Fr. Abraham arrived in Namibia on the 15th of November 2005. His role included Director of orientation students, librarian and teaching philosophy. His short term ended in June 2006, when he left the Seminary for health reasons.

 

Fr. John Eattanial CMI

                                                                                                                                                               

 Fr. John arrived in Namibia on 19th of May, 2009. Since then he was the Dean of Students and later on also was appointed as the Director of orientation students and Librarian, in addition to his teaching both to the Theology students and the Orientation students. E-Mail: johneetta@gmail.com

Fr. Davis Vadakkumpadan CMI

 

Fr. Davis arrived in Windhoek on April 29, 2010.He was the Chaplain of St. Paul's College, of the Archdiocese of Windhoek. He went back on November 8, 2013.  E-Mail: frvdavis@hotmail.com

 

Fr. Oliver Inchody CMI

 

Fr. Oliver arrived in Windhoek on December 2, 2013.He was the Chaplain of St. Paul's College, of the Archdiocese of Windhoek, as the successor to Fr. Davis Vadakkumpadan, but also taught various subjects in Theology at the Seminary. He also served as the coordinator of the Caritas and Catechetics desks of the Namibian Catholic Bishops' Conference (NCBC). Fr. Pradeep Aerthayil CMI

 

Fr. Pradeep arrived in Windhoek on January 20, 2014.He is a member of the Seminary staff, teaching Philosophy. On February 6 he left for RSA to do his Ph.D. at the University of Stellenbosch . E-Mail: pradeepcmi@gmail.com

Fr. Joshy Paramthottu CMI

Fr. Anto Thunduparamapil CMI

Fr. Taiju Thaliyath CMI
